Yes I know its spring, but what a wonderful time to start on a project for winter. This is a cute little wall hanging, 14” by 18”, featuring a hand embroidered winter scene of a happy snowman and his furry friend, a bunny. Half square triangles border the quilt and there is even a mini quilt hanging on a clothesline in the center. If you have never hand embroidered before, don’t worry, the first class will cover the few simple stitches you will need to know to embroider the scene. If you know how to hand embroider, you can use the time in the first class to get a good start on the embroidering. The second class, you will learn how to paper piece the mini quilt and sew the half square triangle border. The nice thing about this quilt is that the embroidery doesn’t have to be finished by the second class, you can sew up the border and mini quilt even when the embroidered scene is not complete.
