“Catch All Hanging Bag”

Supply List

“Catch All Hanging Bag” pattern by Sweet Jane’s is required

Bags come in 3 sizes, Small (5”x5”x3”), Medium (7”x6”x4”), Large (10”x7”x5”)

Basic Supply List:

• Sewing machine in good repair with power cord and foot pedal
• ¼” presser foot
• Size 12 or 14 machine needle. 
• Rotary cutter and ruler (mats are available in classroom)
• Scissors and thread clippers
• Seam ripper
• Fabric marker or pencil
• Pins or fabric clips
• Thread – neutral or to match fabric

Fabric Yardage: 100% cotton fabric, remove selvage edges.

Fabric requirements for make all 3 bags:

• Outer fabric - 5/8 yard
• Accent strip and handle – ¼ yd or fat quarter
• Lining fabric – 5/8 yard
• “Fusible Fleece” – 5/8 yard (For a firmer bag, use “Soft & Stable”)
• Optional “Velcro” closure – 5” of ½” Velcro tape (has 2 sides) for 3 bags
• You may also choose to cut your bag pieces from various scraps or from pieces from your stash.

Please see the chart on page 1 of your pattern and cut your fabrics prior to coming to class.  You may wait to cut fabrics until coming to class if you feel you need some assistance with this step.
